A friend of ours has a Bassett Hound called Matilda. She is very old, very sweet and extremely stubborn - which I believe is a Bassett Hound trait. Nice portrait :thumbup:

I just love dogs. Bassett hounds are special with those long floppy ears, so you need to pay more attention to them. Unfortunately, you clipped both of them. Your decision to shoot head on seems to have resulted in the nose being somewhat out of proportion to the rest of the head, and slightly out of focus. I would have tried a higher angle and slightly off to right side. Make sure that you have enough DOF so that the whole head is in proper focus.
