I have been very lucky over the past few weeks to see the Markham Snowy Owl five times and today I almost even had sun for the flying images. The Snowy must be hungry as it was jumping on anything that moved.
Diving from a lamp post
Then the neighbourhood bully shows up but the Snowy is not going to take his crap and chases him up to 500ft until he buggers off.
The Snowy is seen diving again after a short rest from the exhausting flight with the Crow.
…and then what happens? The bully shows up again with three of his buddies and they start harassing the poor Snowy.
After five minutes of squawking they loose interest and leave the Snowy to his business of catching dinner
Just my luck, the sun comes out just as his decides to move on
Time is running out for me to get some sunny flying shots of this Snowy as it should be heading back up north soon. I will be sad to it go but I'm sure he will be happy to not see me again. I'm almost as pesky as those Crows.
