I have been very lucky over the past few weeks to see the Markham Snowy Owl five times and today I almost even had sun for the flying images. The Snowy must be hungry as it was jumping on anything that moved.

Diving from a lamp post

Then the neighbourhood bully shows up but the Snowy is not going to take his crap and chases him up to 500ft until he buggers off.

The Snowy is seen diving again after a short rest from the exhausting flight with the Crow.

…and then what happens? The bully shows up again with three of his buddies and they start harassing the poor Snowy.

After five minutes of squawking they loose interest and leave the Snowy to his business of catching dinner

Just my luck, the sun comes out just as his decides to move on :)

Time is running out for me to get some sunny flying shots of this Snowy as it should be heading back up north soon. I will be sad to it go but I'm sure he will be happy to not see me again. I'm almost as pesky as those Crows.

Wicked series. All I can say is that I am in total awe. Great job.

Brilliant shots Airic....and ya did not get one crow, but a gang of them too. hmm..maybe I will go crow hunting in Markham this weekend.

Be stil my beating heart!! I love snow owls!!!! Impressive set.....#7 looks like he is just waiting for you t osnap that shot of him!! like he dared you! LOL

wow, another incredible series, just brilliant. Its snowing here in England today but the chances of seeing a snowy owl is little to none! Great work airic

awesome series airic, that snowy is such a cool bird, i'm going to miss your shots of him too! the second to the last is my favorite of the series, but i'm glad you posted them all, it made for a nice story. i watched a red-tail hawk and a crow fight it out at 500 feet one day, it was very interesting to watch... they locked up and dropped about 100 feet and that crow limped away after that... he learned his lesson...

Eric,

Excellent captures. The 7th one from the top reminds me
of an aircraft on a photo pass! :salute:
