It looks like a typical turn of the last century camera.

The unique feature is it has focus settings for both film and cut film plates.

As always, its value is determined by the the person doing the buying.

I would re-post in the collectors forum. They know a lot more about the old camera stuff.

Good luck

I was interested to see it! Never saw one of these...

Have seen (and own) similar but mostly Kodaks.

Don't know if there's a camera swap in your area but maybe search and see if you can find one around. Or I've seen vintage cameras in antique malls, etc.

In order to further indentify your Carbine, measure the size of the negative. Here is a list of possible models:

No.1 - 2¼x3¼''
No.2 - 3¼×4¼'', Beck Rapid Rectilinear lens
No.3A - 3¼×4¼'', Beck Rapid Symmetrical lens (or other), Universe shutter
No.3B - 3¼×4¼'', Beck Rapid Symmetrical lens, Automat shutter
No.3B P.C. - 3½×5½'', Beck Rapid Symmetrical lens, Automat shutter
No.4 - 3¼×4¼'', Beck Symmetrical lens (or other)
No.4 P.C. - 3½×5½'', Beck Symmetrical lens
No.5 - 3½×2½'', Beck Symmetrical lens (or other)
No.5 - 3¼×4¼'', Beck Symmetrical lens (or other)

This data comes from collectiblend.com and your camera was made around 1920s. Value? Not that much, unfortunately, possibly $30-40.

Hope this helps.
