Any advice before buying a 10 month old used cannon d70? Thanks!!

canon doesnt have D70....if that is what you are getting.....you'll need to be very careful

if you are referring to nikon D70....make sure it is still covered by the warranty....if it is....then there is not much you need to worry...just make sure it is mechnically and optically fine and able to take picture and show on the LCD...adjust the shutter at various setting....and then check it thoroughly again after you got it.....check all possble functions within the warranty period.....i suppose the seller is not goign to let you check it thoroughly because it is quite time consuming

I bought a year old 20D. Just check all the functions are working, ask for the history, if you aren't a good judge of character, take someone who is. I checked out the history of the sensor, and that checked out okay. Check it's working too. Remember to check the manual and other papers are there. I don't think buying second hand is too bad if you're careful.
