bye bye vancouver cloud

this is one of my first long exposure taken in the middle of the day, and i was pretty happy with how it turned out.
it was a windy afternoon, which was why i was able to get so much movement in the clouds. not sure why the lake looks so green, but i like the effect!

exposure was just under 3 minutes, i used a 10 stop filter as well as a 0.9 grad for the sky.

c&c please!! i was pretty pleased with myself as i didn't use my composition crutch of putting something in the forground (though i probably would have if i could have gotten down beside the lake...)

Seeing as I am a noob still cn you explain what settings you used please. How did you not burn out the image with such a long exposure?

hey shootermcgee,
this image was shot using a 10 stop neutral density filter, this allowed for the long exposure.
i also had a 0.9 and 0.3 (3 stop and 1 stop) graduated filters over the sky, which kept the sky from over exposing.
