C&C A few photos from Australia

I just got home and am sorting through photos. Just want some C&C on a few that I took.

1. HDR shot of the docks in Eden

2. Brighton Beach Houses (these things are like 10x10 and go for over 1 million dollars - AMAZING)

3. An HDR near the blowhole in Kiama

4. A view from the ferry from Sydney to Manley

#1 is my favorite - I love the contrasting warm and cool tones.

#2 can't say that anything about this is really speaking to me.

Jealous that you were in Australia - I studied abroad there a few years ago and would go back in a heartbeat!

#1 looks a bit overdone (the processing).

#2 I like.. it's kinda minimalist and I like the red.

#3's kick ass, wallhanger. Processing, composition.. it's all a home run in my opinion.

#4 - I can't decide how I feel. It's technically pretty good I think. It might be the wide crop throwing me off.

Oh, and why the giant borders?

I used Big Huge Labs just to create the "Frame" look to decide on which ones I want to frame - it was just their default settings - I wont go that extreme when I frame them.

#1 and #3 are absolutely awesome, in my opinion. #4 is good too, but just doesn't stand out like 1 and 3 does.

Love number 1. When you take an HDR for a shot like that, do you take all 3 in succession? Or more than 3? Or do you wait for different stages in the sunset?
