C&C- Vacation House

I took a picture of my parents' vacation house and was looking for a bit of C&C. I would love to eventually have a picture of their house printed and framed for them, but I wanted to run this by you pros first. First one is the unprocessed image, second one I added some touches in Lightroom. I would appreciate any comments or insights.

Nice pics, and beautiful home. If they ever want to adopt a new 37 year old son, I'm up for adoption.

I actually prefer the unedited image. The Lightroom edited image doesn't appeal to me...the editing makes it look overexposed.

great shot...i also prefer the unedited.

i like the idea of printing and framing, but i would consider waiting until the tree covers come off, or take them off for the shot.
i think they greatly detract from the shot.

SrBiscuit- I think that it is a good idea. The more I look at it, all I see is the burlap.

Those wrapped bushes are very distracting. Oddly the first thing I thought was that your house was being attacked by odd-looking aliens. I need to stop watching so much Dr. Who.

Other than that, nice shot. Second one not so good. Unedited way better.
