oh, I'm going to keep taking skateboarding photos, and i wanted to ask which are the best settings to take skating photos?.. I have a point and shoot camera though ":\

For being taken with a p&s I have to take a grain of salt when critiquing these. That said I'm really liking #1
#2 is a decent shot a lil' overexposed on parts of the shoes
#3 like the red filter but not the subject used
#4 to blurry on the second board and too much noise in the b.g.
#5 The shoes are TOO overexposed along with other places and some places are underexposed - parts of the arms and IMO the subject's has a weird expression

All in all there are alright considering they were taken with a p&s

point and shoots really aren't good for skateboard photos.. the shutter lag just makes it too difficult to get a decent shot.. I find the lighting in these all really harsh (the skate photos that is..) they look like exactly what they are.. skate photos taken with a point and shoot camera.. thats all they are.. not much you could have done to make them better, because for night time skate photos (especially) you need to get the lighting off camera, otherwise they just look flat and crappy.
