Cabin Cat ~ I spent the weekend with my buddy Dave at his log cabin home in Upstate New York. We were both running retrievers in an AKC Hunt Test and staying with Dave for two days saved me the cost of a hotel. We often trade off like this to save some money when running club events. We get to spend some time together running retriever dogs and going out for dinner after the hunt tests are concluded for the day.
The hunt tests did not go well for the two dogs I ran this weekend, just the way it goes sometimes. I went back to Dave's cabin after my Master stakes dog washed out yesterday and found a stray cat he took in skulking around his woodpile. The woodpile is on the front porch of the cabin and the cat was as interested in me as I was in it. I'm not much of a cat fan, but I really enjoyed capturing this headshot of Dave's feline friend.
