Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
I'm looking for a camera bag. I'm hoping not to spend too much money, i don't wanna say a cheap bag, but and inexpensive one.

Also, i'm leaning towards the backpack type, but it doesn't matter.
Can anyone help me come across a good site, or shop?

Thanks,
Han

Lowepro are always good bags, but try and think of how much gear you will want to carry, I have a Backpack and it cost me £60-00 ( $100 ish ) and I carry camera, 3 lenses, flash, chargers ( camera & battery cahrger ), and most backpacks will give enough room to carry a flask and some lunch,

Orion Trekker II is the bag I use

I have several Lowepro bags and I highly recommend them. The quality is very good...although the price isn't always cheap.

Do you have access to a camera shop? I suggest going into a shop where you can try out the bags yourself.

love my Lowepro sling back....I can carry 4 lenses, spare batteries, lens hood, my camera, my flask......and have instant access to it all, just by swinging the bag to the front.

I would recommend lowepro also. I dropped my camera in a lake last summer and no water got through. Even all the little outside compartments were dry. And it floated!!!
I dont know what model it is though but it only holds my camera, lens, some film and filters.

Tamrac, Tenba, Crumpler...there are plenty of other good brands.

My wife gave me one for christmas and I love it. I wanted a bag that looks like a backpack at first sight instead of a photobag. And with some space for other stuff. This one has another big plus: you don't have to take it off to get your camera! Just sling it under your arm and you have your camera right under your nose.

Another LowePro user, here. I have 5 bags ranging from P&S to backpack and I foresee at least another 1 or 2 in my near future.

I also used Tamrac bags for many years with satisfaction.

Now, you say it doesn't matter whether it's a backpack or a shoulder bag but if you give it some more thought, you might well change your mind.

First, think about what you want to carry in the bag at all times...then mull over what else you'll stick in there from time to time plus maybe a little extra. This'll give you a range of bag sizes to consider.

Don't forget to think about your organizational habits. Some folks (like me) like lots of useful pockets and dividers while some can toss everything into one or two compartments. Are you going to strap on a small tripod? That's another feature to add.

Then there's how you're going to use the bag. A shoulder bag may work for you most of the time but it may be no fun at all to schlep through the woods on a rough dirt trail. Been there, done that...and that's why I have a backpack in the collection.

Besides their high-end models, most of the big names mentioned here have lines of modestly priced bags that should serve your well, if only for now.

I had a small backpack and didn't much like it. The sling bags are much easier to get your camera out of in a hurry if an opportunity arises.

Mine's a Pelican shoulder-type bag. I love it. I can take the camera out from the front or the top. In the main compartment I have the camera, 70-200mm lens and the flash. My 50mm is usually mounted on the camera. All the other stuff is in the sides or front pocket (extra batteries, brush, lens cloth, caps, etc). There's room for the kit lens as well but I don't use it much so I don't carry it unless I think that I may have use for it. It gets so heavy, I take out the flash if I'm not going to use it.
