Camera recommendation on the budget

Having shot both of the Canons I can confidently say do not buy the T1I. It is just too old to be anything other than a novelty. The T5I is a bit better but even its sensor is a couple generations old.
With the three options presented I would say the D3400 is a better choice for the following reasons.
The D3400 has a newer sensor with more pixels, better dynamic range, higher ISO capability and a bit better colour representation. This camera will do you well for much longer than the T5I.

I think d3400 it's the best option for you
For future reference adding the why will help educate. Otherwise it's just an opinion.

I agree, the Canon T5i is nice but newer models like the T7i, 77D, etc. are nicer
(mirrorless is also good)

A T7i is $850 with 18-55 kit lens. The 77D is $950 with same kit lens. Both in US dollars. So, Canadian would be higher. Neither fits his original statement for a low budget initial camera. Of the choices in his price range. The clear "IQ" winner as you like to say is the D3400!
