I am fairly new to photography in general. I purchased the Canon Rebel Ti a while ago to get started, and I am now looking for a digital SLR camera. I do not particularly care about the manufacturer. I would prefer to spend less than $800. I have been looking at the following cameras:

I have also heard good things about the EOS D60 but I have not checked the price yet.

Could you guys suggest a good digital SLR camera? Or comment on the ones I have posted? Maybe one that has worked well for you?

Thanks

EDIT
I just realized this is probably the wrong section for this, sorry about that.

The XT, 20D, D-70, D-70s are all good. Check them out in person, see which one you like. You aren't going to find a new 20D for $800.

The D60 is older technology and discontinued, I'm sure. The newer cameras have much better image quality.

Since you already have a Canon camera & lens, I would suggest the Rebel XT. I have a 20D and it's great, but it may be more than your budget will allow.

Nikon has a new entry level DSLR, the D50. I just read a review and while it's lacking some features, the image quality is said to be superb.

In my mind it's tough to go wrong with Nikon or Canon. You may have to up your $800 figure a bit but you'll be getting a camera you will enjoy for many years.

I would stay with a brand you know- ie the Canon. I have a 20D, and would recommend it to anyone!

I echo the statements about upping your price a bit to get the better camera.
