I'm considering an external field monitor so I don't have to use the LCD monitor on the back of my camera (Canon 5D3). For normal day time shooting the LCD works fine but for real low to the ground or night shooting I have a hard time using the LCD. I might drive 40-60 miles, take some shots, get home and view the images and go "oh crap I need to re-shoot".
The 5D3 has the mini HDMI port and a larger monitor might save me a lot of driving. I find that operating tethered to my laptop at home really helps in image preview but a laptop is a hassle in the field.
Anyone use one and any recommendations? I'm looking at a Marshall 6.2" M-CT6 at $260 from Adorama.
