cameras in the rain

Get a camera with weathersealing. I've taken my D700 through rain, waterfalls, and volcanos (no joke) and it's had no problems :)

Depends on the camera, I have shot D3's and 5DmkII's in downpours. The bodies are sealed, just make sure your lens actually has a gasket. A lot of prime lenses don't have the weather gasket on the lens. Any other camera without weather sealing, i would just say indoors lol

Weather sealed is more about dust and dirt, and does not mean water proof, though it does mean water resistant.

I use camera sleeves. There cheap and pretty easy to use. The only trouble I found is there big enough for almost any lens, so if your not using a big lens you have lots of plastic to mess around with.
