Can I Remove Trial Versions of Software?

For example I have a trial from LR2. I am currently running LR3 as a licenced version.

If I clean up and remove the LR2 trial icon/program and what ever files were associated with it will that be a problem? I am concerned that some files might be shared or is the licenced version of LR3 standing completely alone.

My goal is to clean up a bit.

In my experience, if files are shared across more than one program you will get a confirmation window asking if you want to delete the shared files or leave them alone. Additionally, if you do inadvertently remove needed files you should be able to repair the installation of the program you meant to keep (so even if you've customized it you shouldn't have to do a full reinstall and lose all those custom settings). Of course, that has been my general experience with Windows computers (I haven't tried anything similar yet with my Mac), and I can't guarantee it's the case with all programs.

(At the very least you can remove the icons from your desktop, those are only pointers to the executable file and have no impact on the program.)

Verify in your programs file directory if they are in the same installation folder.
But i am pretty sure you can remove the trial without any issue. They should be in different directoy.

I have lighroom 2.5 and 3.3 installed on my machine and they are in different directory

Under Program Files/adobe/

Registy shouldnt be a problem either.
