For example, plug an iPod into your D70 via firewire and dump everything onto that?

I see that Nixvue has the Vista (up to 60GB capacity) and on their webpage they say that there is an mp3 interface planed to come out July 2002. 2 years later and there's still nothing. This thing would almost be worth the price tag if they could get that worked out.

Anyhow, just wondering.

I think Doxx was talking about something like this in the ipod thread in off topic discussions if you want to have a look

yeah, I think it's no problem with the iPod, but you have to buy a "Belkin iPod Media Reader" that costs about a 100$ and that's it...

I've also seen some "game boy" looking things with lcds specifically made for storin' photos, and they also let you browse and delete them if you want. I'm almost positive the ipod will store pics, to do it without a computer you probably need some sort of card reader or attachment tho.

I was thinking about getting the Belkin iPod Media Reader, but most of the online reviews weren't too happy about it. Apparently it drains the iPod and reader's battery pretty quickly. Plus the speed of transfering images is about that of USB 1.0. I shoot in RAW mode and each picture is about 6 megs for me :x. I would have to wait forever for the iPod to get all 512MB of images from my CF card. I hope they make a better one soon.

Saw a news report last week that Duke is giving incoming freemen iPod to record notes, store papers and etc
