the pics are great. i do the same with 2 flashlights.

here's a tip:

if you want to freeze the character (yourself in this example) you should use flash.

flash freezes the character and the long exposure still "records" the light tracks as you move them.

so you can make a pose and then move the candles after the flash has gone off.
