canon digital rebel vs canon 10D

except for a few not very crucial features, these cameras look equally capable. A while back, I was planning on getting the 10D but the rebel looks like it's just as capable for my needs and except I save another $500 for accessories.

$500 seems like a lot for such minor differences... am I missing out on something?

you're right it's just a castrated 10D - if you don't need any of these features, go for the Rebel... first get yourself a better/faster lens. I would recommend the 50mm f1.8 for just $80 or so

I just scanned through ebay looking for this camera and some guy is selling them for $220 US flat. No bidding. I'll bet you they're stripped of warranty though or some other significant things that would otherwise be packaged.

Edit: Actually I guess it does have the warranty. Being sold out of New York though. Maybe the items are hot...but it it's a featured item. Arrgh seems to good to be true but what if it is true?

This auction may be for the extent warranty, The seller has over 30 negative reviews in the last 6 mouths. I thought someone with that many negative reviews would have been band
