Notice anything different from Mark I to Mark II?

Focal length set at 24mm while its not extended?
Does this mean the optics are completely different?

I just realized that the Mark II version also has a change in filter size? Instead of 77mm, its now 82mm. *BOO*

I bet the IQ and AF will be on par with 70-200 II which justifies the high price. Silly Canon is trying to "milk" more cash from their customers by not making it "IS" and then probably releasing IS down the road in a few years for even higher price.
