Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens and RRS MPR-CL II pano plate compatible?

Hi. I am looking into getting a second lens for my EOS t4i camera and using this lens to create pano. However, I am not too sure if this lens will work with the RRS MPR-CL II plate. On their site, it says if you are going to use a wide angle lens, use the the MPR-CL II. I perfer to get the first.

If anyone knows or if they do have this lens and the EOS t4i camera, can you help me measure the distance length? All you need to do is place the camera on a table without zooming. Slide the camera away from the table edge until it is just off your viewfinder. (You should not see the table edge in your viewfinder.) Now measure the distance from the table edge to the back of the camera.
