Canon Eos 1000 N Film lens help

Hey guys,
I've been using my aunt's old Canon Eos 1000 N film camera with a 35-80mm 1:4-5.6 Sigma DL Zoom lens
It takes great shots, and I like it alot but it's missing the focus ring and sometimes if you point the lens down it falls apart
. The local camera shop sucks and I don't feel like giving them my business so I was
wondering if there is a good replacement for it. I was going to go with getting the same lens, but I also
thought about getting something different. Being a total noob to photography I didnt
wanna buy a lens that I don't need or have no use for. any suggestions are appreciated

Yes, it's time for new lens. Just look in your local Craigslist. You are from New York right ?
