Adorama, keh and b&h photo video are all good places to buy used equipment. I've had good luck on ebay but I only buy from sellers in the US & Canada, and only with a lot of good feedback.

You got a good point there...the feedback is a very important factor to consider. I usually try and avoid the USA and Canada because of extortionate import duties we must pay, pity really because they are a good source for photographic equipment.

I shoot film as well as digital, and get all my canon film stuff off Ebay.

Use the guys who have the ribbon thing (called ebay trusted seller or something? and have like 99% feedback from like 1000+ people)

Im in the UK and have used:

"The Photographers Bag" - alldigital0869 - Got an EOS lens off them
debslenses - Got an EOS body off them

These guys seemed OK.
