So I ordered a Canon Powershot A640 today and should get it by Wednesday. I was wondering if anyone has this camera and can relay personal experiences/reviews of it. How is the shutter lag between shots? How is the battery life? How many photos do you get to your respective SD cards?

Also - I have a Canon EOS Rebel K2 35mm film camera with a 28mm-90mm lens. Can I use it on my new Canon camera?

    Thanks for any help!

Hello. The A640 is a fixed-lens compact camera, so unfortunately you will not be able to use that lens on it. But it should have a lens that gives a comparable field of view so I doubt you're missing out there. If you do want a digital camera that takes your 28-90mm and other lenses that fit on your EOS, you need a Canon digital SLR with the same 'EF' lens mount.
