Canon Powershot S70

I've been looking for a compact digital camera...preferably one that uses CF cards so that I can use the cards I have now. The Canon Powershot S70 seems to fit the bill nicely...it even records in RAW.

But the only place I can find that still has is for sale...is Amazon (via Wall Street Photo) and it's $1587 :shock: What the heck is up with that?

seems a bit over priced to me!!!

S70 is a great camera BTW, sold many of them and never had one returned

There are some used ones on there as well, I have the S45 which is an older older version, it's about five years old and is faultless. Shoots RAW as well

As it's discontinued, might be worth a check on ebay for one

I've looked on E-bay a few times...very, very few of them. I guess people either love them enough not to sell them or they are dead in a few years.

There are a few other Canon compact Digicams that use CF cards...but they aren't easy to find. Maybe I'll try checking E-bay for the other models...I think the A75 still used CF cards. The G6 does, which should be a good one...but may still a bit too expensive.
