Concerning only the pro grade equipment what do you like better and why?

Yeah straight up VS threads we don't allow/encourage.
Ones like your original take on this http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/photography-equipment-products/263196-canon-vs-nikon.html where you've specified budget and usage we do tolerate since there is some direction to the input outside of the "mines better than yours" which is what a straight VS thread ends up as.
