Canon XTi Question

Daughters Canon XTi having a few problems:

Suddenly camera focuses slow and will not take picture. In viewfinder, green dot flashes on right.

When lens is changed to manual focus the camera takes picture, but the viewfinder shows all black?

Any suggestions?

Yes. Read the camea users manual.

Page 160 in the users manual it will describe the limitations of auto focus.
