Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I'm wondering if any XTi users out there (or maybe any Canon really) can tell me if there is a way to 'cancel' the exposure lock. I find I keep hitting it accidentally, and while most of the time I can just take a picture real quick (so goes against my thinking because I learned on film!) but there has got to be a better way. Tried pushing buttons, reading the manual, searching online....

thanks!
Erik

that happens to me sometimes as well. unfortunately my solution has always been just to shoot off that **** shot and then continue. im not aware of any other way to do it...

I don't think you can use it in manual mode can you? Therefore if you use manual that will work :)

You could change custom function #4. See page 104 of the manual.

This function allows you to change the AF to the (*) button, so that AF and AE lock are on different buttons...you can also disable AE lock.
