Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm ZF 1.4 + Nikon D90

yep, but you might want to check out the Nikon 50mm f/1.4G and sigma 50mm while you're at it. The Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 is pretty so-so optically and lacks the AF. Build quality is amazing though.

owhh thank you.. so go for nikon 50mm 1.4 is better..

but between 50mm 1.4 vs 85mm 1.4 which one is more better??

Depends on what you are using it for. I believe the 85mm would make a good portrait lens if you need one for that. Have you considered the Nikon 35mm f/1.8? It is a fantastic walk around lens and offers great IQ (IMO) at a very cheap price.

If you are interested I have a couple photos I can post for you that I had taken with my D5000 and 35mm f/1.8.

oo.. may is see it? ;)

Here are a couple. There was not any post editing done on any of these photos, uploaded to photobucket. The is a fantastic lens for $200, great IQ IMO.

My fiance and I. I held the camera in front of us.
