I do miss to see her eyes here.
The concept is good, her being so focused on the little chick, but I really miss her eyes. I wish I could see them.

jemmy: I use several methods, depending on what I think it fits better. For the first picture, first step - channel mixer and check "monochrome", then I created an adjustment layer for curves and modified the contrast a bit. That's what I usually do. For this picture, I also switched to Lab Color mode, then worked only on Lightness channel and I applied Unsharp Mask. Then, back to RGB mode. That's about it

I love the last two that you posted. For the first, it seems as if the focus is on the entire scene rather Catalina...which might be what you were aiming for. Great job on all of them though!
