I was working on my car at my buddies house today, and walked past this chair facing his couple acres of open land. It was just about to start raining as well. The image is an HDR photo, which I'm still learning how to do. I have two images; one is the original, and one is obviously edited. To me the edited one looks better, because I think it has more emotion. The original I like, but the colors just don't intrigue me so much. What do you guys think? I also tried to follow the rule of thirds with both the horizon line, and the chair.

All comments appreciated! Go ahead and edit too, if you'd like.

What program did you use for HDR?
and how many exposures?

I like the detail you get from the ground in the edited version.

I think composition wise, it lost some of that 'acres of open land' feel.
I think if you got closer up to the chair
and had more of the emptyness going on, it would have worked better
Or even more epic, have somebody, who fits the character, sit in the chair, and take the shot from 'over their shoulder', kinda thing.

Good stuff.

I prefer the original image (I am starting to hate edited images), anyway it's the auto white balance that you used affected the overall colour of the image.

So manually adjust the white balance and try to shoot within the golden hours.
