I shot some senior portraits with a white backdrop, but later the student realized he needed black. Is there a way to turn this white backdrop into a black one, or do I need to reshoot?

Thanks!

-Duplicate the background layer

-Select the background

-Invert the selection

-Raise the selection to a layer

-Flood the duplicated background layer with black

-Flatten

It won't be ideal, but it will work. Reshooting would be better.

Thanks for the help tirediron; I gave it a try:

The hair and some chromatic aberration around the shoulder gave me the most trouble. I am not sure how I feel about it. Any hair or chromatic aberration suggestions?

Thanks again!!

A bit to long to detail the various steps: create a mask by selecting out the subject from the background...refine the mask by using the refine radius tool from the refine mask page....use a brush over the hair

Thanks rambler and KmH! KmH- off to watch the video now!
