I needed to get out and clear my head for a bit this evening, so I grabbed my camera, hopped in the car and drove. It was just before sunset when I happened upon a small lake. Having been studying up on my GND, I decided I would experiment with it.
I like the first picture for the simplicity of it, but I wish the grass stems were more crisp. I was shooting with a pretty low aperture, so as the wind blew, they went in and out of focus.
In the second picture, I love the exposure and the way the water blur turned out, but I missed the focus on the trees, and that really bugs me. I am tempted to scrap it, but everything else turned out exactly how I envisioned it. I got cold and wanted to get going, and I got careless.
