Well I am new here and just picked up my T2i yesterday. Been playing with a lot of settings, snapping a ton of pictures and reading a whole lot also. Thought I would share one of the cooler ones that I took of the Christmas tree.

Let me know what you think.

what do you like about it?

It seems to lack a subject. The snow flake ornament would have been a nice one. Do you have a tripod? If so, use it. Try messing around with shutter speeds to get the lights less washed out.

Have fun, and enjoy your new camera!

Generally, I like it, but it looks squished in from the sides. My mind is expecting the ornament that is the main subject to be round, but it's a little egg-shaped.

Focus doesn't seem to be quite on the ornament either, but just a tad beyond it.

I think the white balance is too warm. Set it to tungsten instead of auto.
