thanks for the replies everyone! i'm still trying to get used to taking shots at night since I never was able to before. But so far i'm doing ok i think.

I'm still experimenting wiht nightshots as well.
just write down exposure times and all that info
see how they turn out and keep trying different stuff.

I take it your useing digital. the good thing with that format is you can play around. take loads of pics of one thing at night. Do it with a wide range of exposure times. Over & Under exspose.

I took this photo using long exposure & a flash.

yep, using digital, i love having a pretty big memory card (256MB) so i can take a ton of pics to try and get the perfect one.
