It's not unusual to see osprey in town but these particular one's really got my attention with all the noise they were making. Apparently, one of the parents wanted the young ones out of the nest and flying and the chicks were throwing a fit over the idea. I was lucky to have witnessed one of the parents actually pushing one of them out (pic #5), forcing it to fly. It got quiet after that, I think the chicks liked soaring better than squatting.

I can go out most days (during the summer as they are not resident here) and see Ospreys within a short drive from me but certainly not nesting in built up araes. Nice.

Those are really neat shots. now, I've got to try and out do you. The challenge is on.

Thanks. It's all they do around here is build nests, and fly around screeching.

The glove has been thrown down .... it's on! :wav:
Thanks, appreciate the nice comment.

It just proves they will build where they want. A local wildlife area has had a nesting platform available for years for them. No takers yet😛

Yep, just like how birds do with tree houses that people build for them. I've seen them go vacant for years.
