I've always loved this 50's speed boat.

It's a dream to own one.

Yes they are great boats. I'm pretty sure it's from the 1950s. Very collectable. I've dreamed of owning one for 30 years.

I know this is a B&W forum but I can't resist posting a color version showing the beautiful mahagany finish.

Not uncommon to see these in the Lake St. Clair/St. Clair River areas . The original Chris Craft plant was located in Algonac , Michigan on the St. Clair River . Drive by it quite often.

I waterskied behind one once or twice. Even helped polish one. The Mahogany sure shined.

The color shot does bring us back to the days when wooden boats were common.
