cleaning sensor

Another thread has lead me to believe there is dust on my sensor on my D40. How would I go about cleaning this? thx

sorry to just add to this, i only have a kit lens and its never been off the body yet. is it possible dust may have entered? thx

I start with a bulb blower

if that doesn't work to remove it, I use the copperhill method and use Sensor swabs with Eclipse 2.0 fluid for a wet cleaning. It really isn't that difficult or mysterious.

Depends on the conditions, recently taking surfers on the beach in OZ and never removing the lens the whole time I was there, on my return and inspection of the shots I found them littered with fine dust spots, actually sand, exit one camera. H

ive done it with a blower in mirror lock up, see what happens on the next shot
