Hi everyone,

My aunt and I are looking into buying some lenses for our cameras. We both have digital cameras, mine a Kodak Z740 with a 55mm lens adapter, hers a Fujifilm S3800, which they don't make anymore but is very similar to the S3100 model found on their website. I am fairly new to this and don't know where to start with lenses and filters. I do a lot of close up photography with flowers and birds, so almost all of my photography is outdoors. A macro lense might be helpful as well as a telephoto? No idea. Please help us out!

Thanks to everyone.

I don't believe either of those cameras have an interchangeable lens mount, meaning you can't change the lens. The best you could do would be use filters. You can use a closeup filter to get some more magnification for closeups. 55mm would be the size. As for the Fuji, it probably has a filter thread size also.

If you really want to expand your possibilities, you'll need to look into an SLR with a lens mount that allows different lenses to attach.
