Clients @ a Bakery?

I'm still in the portfolio/client building process. Babies and families are what I mostly photograph. Lately I've enjoyed taking shots of baked goods. long story short...there is a local bakery having a re-opening next month. I thought it would be fun to offer to get some shots of his cakes, breads, etc that could be displayed in the bakery, and in return have my business cards available to the bakery customers. Has anyone done anyting like this before?

a good shot of a loaf of bread doesnt say to me to hire you for a family portrait. just my thought.

perhaps you can get some framed prints displayed in the bakery, and they can pay you for it. or display some nice family portraits that is related to the bakery. like a candid of kids making making bread.
