Very nice! Glad to see they still make Tmax 400. Back when I shot film it was my standard slow bw film. I agree about #1 and #3. In #1, as I was scrolling down looking at it I was disappointed when the trees and ground came up. The subject is so powerful in this one it might be better to get down lower and shoot it with just the sky, or maybe some distant mountains as background. Of course then you lose the bottom of the trunk, which is pretty nice too - just a thought.

Mr. Gary,

Hearty congratulations on posting of your first series

First one is rally really fabulous; i really loved the tree you chosen and the way you framed it. second also came out very well, but the very nature of the tree does not permit much contrast and that is its beauty.

The order of my liking is also the same as your posting; third comes third; cloud images are impressive only when there is strong contrast/details; may be the time you clicked did not show much of that kind. Of course, this is only in comparison. Otherwise a nice set

Regards :D
