Ok, I love the way I can see the veins of color on the rose. I've been told this is a Joseph's Coat rose. It starts out yellow, then fades to orange, and finally pink just before the petals fall off. What do you guys think?

My only nitpick is that I wish the entire flower was in focus, not just the front. That's an awesome looking rose!

LMAO - that's what I meant - I like the fact the rear petals are out of focus while the front are dead sharp. Personal taste thing I guess.

I like the shot as is, but would prefer a DOF that puts the center petals (the short ones) in focus. The petals beyond the center could then be blurred. Just my opinion.

Thanks all! Part of me screams fro the whole rose to be in focus and part of me looks at how the front petals seem to almost jump out of the picture the way it is and I think I should leave it alone. Still, as soon as the next batch of blooms comes in I will be right back out there snapping exposures!

looks nice but I'd like it a little brighter....
