Color variation in Nikon and Canon cameras

i still havent made a desicion yet and i have the feeling that there´s color variations between Nikon and Canon. It seems like Nikon has a colder approach and Canon a softer..can anyone confirm this or am i just bugging out? I dont want to drop a bunch of dineros on something and then not be happy with it...then the lense issue is still there, dont know what brand to go for because of that..been eyeing that 20/30D and D200 heavily..

It makes no difference whatsoever. You still do all of the adjustments in post processing.

So all of this "warmer/colder/softer/harsher" will cancel each other many times as you go through the steps of raw adjustments and color management of your devices.
