green needs a little fill flash for the shadows on her face.
yellow looks good, like the pose.

Mo,

The harsh contrasty light in #1 sort of kills the shot. if you had used flash for fill, or even some reflectors it would have been greatly improved. Personally I think eye contact would have been nice too. Pretty lady!

#2 - Is it on a hill? Or did you intentionally skew the horizon like that? A polarizer, or GND would have made for a richer, more lovely sky. The colors in the foreground are nice, as is the detail. Your subjects pose is interesting also. I think this shot may be a bit better with a crop to eliminate some of the sky... say put the horizon at about 2/3rds up or so, as that would allow more emphasis on the subject. I find the hat a bit distracting, and would have preferred to see her face and expression. My thoughts of course, and others will have their own.

A quick edit...

Ah, thank you.

The horizon was intentional, hence the name 'Balancing the future'. I think the horizon works with my picture, but your edit indeed is nice. Kinda opened my eye, thanks for that I quite like it.
