1. D7000 (mine) + Nikkor 17-55 (mine)
2. D90 (my dad's) + 24-70 (mine)
This must be the day for questions that I don't understand.
What the **** are you asking?

LOL sorry if i was vague.
basically i was wondering if investing on a camera and a lens (D7k + 17-55) of my own is worth it. OR if I should just invest on the glass (24-70) and still use my father's D90 until i can save up more for a proper camera body to accompany the 24-70..
I really want the 24-70 because of its sharpness, constant aperture, and zoom ring smoothness versus the mentioned stiff zoom ring of the 17-55, not sure if the 17-55 will do it justice. I guess my main reason why I'm having a hard time is I don't want to buy the 17-55 and later on lusting for the 24-70's performance and ergonomics. But buying the 24-70 means having to live with the D90 for a while. Not that I don't like it's performance, but just the fact that the camera isn't mine.. I shoot mainly street candids, and some portraits, and I spend lots of my time using the longer end of an 18-70 lens when I'm out
or should i just get d700 and live with my 50 1.8D
D700 with the 50 1.8D
