Complete beginner, camera on the way

Hi everyone!

I've always had an interest in photography, but until now I've always used a compact camera of not very high quality. I just got back from Rome where I had a fantastic time trying to photograph all the sights, so decided to get a Nikon D40 as I heard it's a good started SLR. It should be with me within a few days.

I prefer wildlife and landscape photography, but I'm looking forward to learning about all the different forms over the coming months.
