Conniston Water

I will be going here soon because it is beautiful etc. Worth taking my Tamron 150-600 mm to look for birds or is it unlikely that there will be anything special and I should concentrate on the landscape etc?

I just googled "Coniston Water birding" and got back a lot of hits. It looks like a place where a lot of people go birding.

Unfortunately, people in the UK don't really use eBird so the latest checklist from there was uploaded in June of 2018.

A lot of those were from the winter, I am not sure how good it will be at this time of year.
