This Virginia rail was very cooperative, coming out of hiding and giving me numerous photo ops this afternoon at my favorite "bird park". These birds are normally very shy and reclusive, and don't often come out in the open like this...

Great set.

They seem to have been pretty active here this spring and early summer as well but we had higher than normal water levels helping us out.

Really nice renders as usual.

Wonderful set.

Nice set they were very active this spring coming right in the open commenly

Thanks, everyone! They do seem to be a bit more active lately... sora as well. Water level at this location is really down, exposing mud that they love to poke around in for worms...

Was wondering it was it the mud / food source that brought them out. Fatten up for the winter season.

Nicely captured.
