The first one is excellent, and IMO, could be improved even more by cropping off the bit of bright, white area image right. The second lacks 'holding power'; try and shoot these so that you have the animal and person coming into the frame and see faces. Moving 10' to your left (assuming conditions would have permitted that) would have made all the difference.
I like the action of the second one but feel like everything is rolling to the right. Making the power pole in the background vertical helps this photo immensely. Also there is no embedded color profile in this photo.
