Portrait photography is not really my thing, but I'm trying it out. Here are a few pics of my adorable niece Ella. Shot with 50mm 1.4 and Canon 30d.

Thanks! The pillow in the bottom of the last shot annoys me too. Didn't think it would look right cropped out though.

No 3 reminds me of a picture of Lauren Bacall I saw once. I like the blanket at the bottom, but wish it did not cut into her face.
No. 2 is a great shot In my humble opinion- very emotive.

These really are so cute. She has got such amazing eyes and gorgeous eyelashes. Great job in catching the sweetness of her.
