Hey Conk! great pictures, i like number two better because the water takes on that kind of smoky look when you take a slightly longer exposure. :D very idyllic.
 
I LOVE the 2nd one.

It's pretty mysterious, like some sort of dreamland! :)
 
Loved the shots and the overall exposure. The surroundings are just a little darker than I am used to seeing with this kind of shot and it really adds something to the photo.

Well done!
 
love the 2nd one
i think its framed a little better as the large rock in the foreground detracts from the river in the 1st one because it has that still water in front of it.

Interesting point. I guess I like the two of them for different reasons.

The first one doesn't focus my attention on the water as much as the second, instead it draws my eyes from the foreground up through the scene.

The second shot clearly draws my attention to the subject of the water but without leading my attention so much through the photo.

Hope I made sense :)
